Defedning your village

tips:

some inexperienced attackers will time there attacks badly.
this is how most attacks go:
1. the enemy send a lot of troops to kill you defences
2. then the catas arrive(could be 10 attacks with each a couple of dozen catas)

the time between 1 and 2 should be very litlle, but new attackers dont realise this. so there could be many minutes between these attacks. we are going to use this.

dont have many troops defend for the first attack(unless you think you can take his clearing force), but send them after, if you have just 1000 defence troops right after that first attack, all of his catas will die.

tips:

make sure to check out if its a raid attack or a real attack, i would mosly dodge a raid attack(if possible) seeing there can be no catas with that attack, so you only lose some resorses.
Tips:

be sure to upgrade the defence troops at the armory. this makes a huge differce!

Tips:

try and keep your villages close together. this makes it easier to defend(times troops have to travel are smaller). storing troops in other villages become easier for the same reason.

Tips:

dont build defence troops in all your villages(unless all your villages are far from eachother). its better to choose a couple(1-3) of villages and specialise them in 1 type of defence, else you'll need to upgrade at armory in all the villages.
later in the game, when the village is completely defeloped(and you produce to many resorses, even to shift to other villages) you can start upgrading armory.
